The Billion Founders Competition
Students identify a local social challenge, implement a real-world solution, and present their impact to a live panel of judges. The Billion Founders Competition challenges students to tackle meaningful social issues within their own communities. Rather than focusing on theoretical ideas, participants engage directly with affected individuals, listen to community needs, and design and execute a practical, evidence-based solution. Students develop essential skills in problem-solving, project management, and empathetic leadership. By defending their findings and tangible results live before a panel of judges, participants leave with a proven track record of real-world social impact and the confidence to drive lasting change.

The Billion Founders Competition is taught live by mentors from leading universities and partner organisations - never pre-recorded. Small cohorts mean your child is spoken to by name, not counted in an audience.

Is my child the right age for this?
It is designed for Grades 8–12. No prior background is assumed - mentors calibrate to the cohort in the first session.
How much time does it take?
64 days in total, with live sessions live session times confirmed on registration plus light preparation in between. It is built to sit alongside school.
What if we miss a session?
Tell the team in advance and they will share the materials and arrange a catch-up so your child rejoins without falling behind.
