About the Conference
Harvard World Model United Nations - Japan Harvard World Model United Nations brings the world's largest collegiate-run Model UN conference to Tohoku International School in Japan. Students in Grades 6 to 12 take on the role of a country delegate within a simulated UN body, researching global issues and moving through caucuses, amendments and voting to reach negotiated resolutions. Alongside committee sessions, delegates take part in opening and closing ceremonies, cultural programming and social events to build an international network. Students leave with improved research, public speaking and negotiation skills, as well as a Certificate of Participation from Harvard World Model United Nations.

Through thought-provoking discussions, diplomatic collaboration, and hands-on experiences, participants explore real-world global issues and sharpen their skills in negotiation, public speaking, and leadership.
Recognized for academic rigour and a vibrant international community, WorldMUN fosters empathy, understanding, and a commitment to global cooperation.
Through informed debate, social events, and the WorldMUN spirit, the experience reaches across cultures and borders to inspire cooperation and friendship.
